Students at Stratford Road Elementary Win Public Library's Summer Reading Contest
Students receive trophy for reading more books over the summer than any other elementary school.

Plainview-Old Bethpage Stratford Road Elementary School students recently received The Summer Reading Trophy awarded by the Plainview-Old Bethpage Library for reading more books over the summer than any of the other four elementary schools. The school was presented with the trophy and award of 50 new books on October 2, 2014 at a school-wide assembly. One hundred and fifty students registered for the summer reading program and 98 children read three or more books.
