Support A Cause: Plainview Community To Gather For Power Of Belongings Fundraiser

The event will be on March 16 at 6:30 p.m. and will raise awareness and funds for Sunrise Association.

PLAINVIEW, NY — The annual Power of Belongings event will be held on the evening of March 16 to raise awareness and funds for the Sunrise Association.

The third annual event will be from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at Howard B. Mattlin Middle School, and will feature arts and crafts, guest speakers, raffles, and silent auction items, all for a good cause.

The Sunrise Association hosts summer camps and programs all year long for children with cancer and their siblings. The program has been helping children from 3 1/2 to 16 years old since 2006. Their impact is nationwide, from California to New York.

Plainview-Old Bethpage students, faculty, administration, PTA, JCC, Chamber of Commerce, and community volunteers will join together on Monday evening.

The middle school is located at 100 Washington Ave. in Plainview.
