Plainview, N.Y. —Recently, Plainview-Old Bethpage John F. Kennedy High School’s WPOB advanced broadcasting class visited Z100 Studios at iHeartMedia in New York City. Former WPOB broadcaster and Plainview-Old Bethpage graduate Scotty B (Scott Boudin) gave the radio students an in-depth tour of the Z100 facilities. The student broadcasters were intrigued and amazed by the equipment they saw and the on-air personalities they met at the iHeartMedia network.

Scotty B commented on how WPOB gave him his start in radio and how very lucky the Plainview-Old Bethpage Central District is to have its own radio station for almost 48 years. Before leaving the studio, the WPOB students were gifted with Z100 radio swag and a copy of #1 syndicated broadcaster in the country Elvis Duran's new book "Where Do I Begin?"

WPOB is a broadcast by students at Plainview-Old Bethpage John F. Kennedy High School partaking in a three-year course in radio engineering, producing, and broadcasting. WPOB has been successfully broadcasting since 1972.
