$103,000 Tax Bill Haunts Rye Brook Condo Project
Developer Kip Konigsberg is in arrears.
An unfinished luxury condominium complex in Rye Brook sits at the center of a tax and legal mess that involves developer Kip Konigsberg.
The Journal News reports that Konigsberg owes $103,000 in taxes and penalties for a strip of land he was going to donate to Rye Brook so that he could build the condo complex on Bowman Avenue.
Rye foreclosed on the small strip of land, which is slated to become a park, and Rye Brook then essentially shut down the development because without that land Konigsberg could not make good on his deal.
