After Hitting 2 Parked Cars in Central Greenwich, Port Chester Man Is Facing DUI Charge

Greenwich Police also say the man also took an SUV without permission and didn't have a driver's license.

A Port Chester resident is facing several motor vehicle charges including driving under the influence and using a motor vehicle without permission after Greenwich Police say he crashed an SUV into two parked cars.

The incident happened about 8:30 p.m. and was reported by residents of a central Greenwich apartment complex where the crash occurred.

When police arrived in the parking lot of the Wilbur Peck Court Apartments on Davis Avenue, residents pointed to a man running up a staircase, trying to get inside an apartment, according to a police report. Officers found a white Acura SUV with front-end damage, parked in a travel lane of the parking lot.

Officers gave chase and caught the 30-year-old man on a second-floor balcony. The man, identified as Victor M. Tenezeca, of 49 Traverse Ave., Port Chester, had an odor of alcohol on his breath and was unsteady on his feet when he spoke with the officers, according to the police report.

After Tenezeca failed field sobriety tests and had breath test results above the .08 blood alcohol level, police charged him with driving under the influence, failure to drive in proper lane, operating without a license, using a motor vehicle without permission, interfering with police, and two counts of evading responsibility, according to the police report.
