Being Known and Loved Anyway, April 26, 10:30am

IS THERE ANYTHING BETTER, more comforting, more like “home” than to be with someone who really knows you? Someone who knows all your quirks, your fears, your imperfections and yet, still loves you for who you are, not what you can do for them. Being known and not judged by another person is one of the most important and satisfying human experiences you can ever have. The passages of the 23rd Psalm and John 10:11-18 use a metaphor to speak of God as the good shepherd, protecting and guiding the flock. God is doing this because God knows us and therefore loves us. To know us is to love us! Does this sound right? Many struggle with self-esteem and struggle to feel a sense of worth in their lives. That is a struggle you can give to God because even though God knows every part of you, God’s love for you knows no end! Come and join us as we worship and give praise to the good shepherd!
