In 1958 an educational wing was built, which is still used today. However, the congregation has found its facility used to its maximum and too small for the church’s ministry needs. As a result, a committee was formed to investigate and a proposal presented to include new bathrooms, classrooms and an addition to the building. The cost of the project will be $650,000. The congregation has already raised pledges and gifts totaling $520,000. More fundraising is planned.
The ceremony will be hosted by St. John’s Pastor Marvin Henk and is expected to include local, state and federal dignitaries.
