This documentary explores how two election reforms changed how candidates impacted the 2022 Alaska elections.Following the screening, a panel discussion will be led by Mike Maria and Rocco Macri from Unite NY.The program will take place at the library on Monday, June 22, at 7:00 p.m.For more information, please call 914-939-6710 ext. 103.

Clay Art Center

Join exhibiting artist Jon Townley at Clay Art Center Gallery for an intimate discussion on his solo exhibition <a href="https://www.clayartcenter.org/made-in-earnest-ceramic-work-by-jon-townley" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">Made In Earnest</a>. This solo exhibition presents handmade ceramic sculpture and pottery, and is the inaugural exhibition in Clay Art Center’s Curator’s Choice series. “Nearly everything I make has certain core themes in common. These include my fascination with how the forces of wind, water and erosion sculpt stone, my wonderment at the forms inside sea shells, my curiosity about the growth patterns of trees and plants, and my delight in the convolutions and articulations of bones. While I’ve spent much of my life working as a professional illustrator and designer, in my ceramics I rarely apply traditional decorative effects or graphic imagery, preferring instead to enliven my pieces primarily through form and sculptural gesture.” - Jon Townley
The artist talk will discuss Jon’s studio practice, inspirations, and signature techniques for making both his sculptural and functional works.
This presentation is free and open to the public, and guests are encouraged to come early to view Made In Earnest in the Gallery.
