Metro-North Back To Normal After Early AM Fatality
Delays on the New Haven line began with the 5:13 a.m. train from Stamford headed to Grand Central.

UPDATE 10:52 a.m. — The person killed by an early morning commuter train on the New Haven Line was a 45-year-old Hispanic man, Metro-North officials said. His name is being withheld pending notification of the family.
Service is on or close to schedule, Metro-North spokeswoman Nancy Gamerman said.
UPDATE 8:18 a.m. — Someone was on the Metro-North tracks at the Port Chester station this morning when the 5:13 a.m. train from Stamford came through headed for Grand Central Terminal.

The person was fatally struck at 5:29 a.m. by the train, which had been due at Grand Central at 6:20 a.m., , Metro-North spokeswoman Nancy Gamerman said.
The person was unauthorized to be on the tracks.

New Haven Line service between Rye and Greenwich is still experiencing delays of 30 to 40 minutes. Customers at Rye, Port Chester and Greenwich wishing to travel eastbound will need to board a westbound train to Harrison to catch a train for eastbound service.
PORT CHESTER, NY — Metro-North officials report that New Haven Line service between Rye and Greenwich is currently experiencing delays of 30 to 40 minutes due to a person struck by a train at Port Chester.
Customers at Rye, Port Chester and Greenwich wishing to travel eastbound will need to board a westbound train to Harrison to catch a train for eastbound service.
