Police: PC Man Whipped Wife With Belt, Raped Her in Front of Children

Police say 30-year-old Rudy Jhonatan Villeda erupted into a jealousy-fueled rage before a brutal attack on his wife.

A Port Chester man is accused of raping his wife in front of the couple's two young children in a brutal attack early Sunday morning.

Rudy Jhonatan Villeda, 30, went into a jealousy-fueled rage when his 23-year-old wife returned home at 12:30 a.m. after spending time with her girlfriends, according to police.

Villeda dragged his wife into the couple's Grace Church Street home by her hair and began striking her with a belt, causing bruises and cuts, Lt. James Ladeairous said.

Villeda allegedly forced his wife into their bedroom, where he raped her in front of the couple's two young children, ages three and one, police said.

When it was over, Villeda left the house and the victim called her sister, who notified police. The victim was brought to Westchester Medical Center in Valhalla for treatment, while her sister helped police identify and arrest Villeda.

The victim's sister told officers Villeda would have likely returned to Tres Amigos, a nearby bar on 30 Grace Church St. Villeda had indeed returned to the bar, and after the victim's sister made a positive ID, officers arrested Villeda.

The Port Chester man refused to talk to police, Ladeairous said. He was charged with third-degree assault and second-degree unlawful imprisonment, both misdemeanors. Police are conferring with the Westchester County District Attorney's office as an investigation continues, and say more charges will be filed against Villeda.

Update: Villeda was arraigned and sent to Westchester County Jail on $3,000 bail. He has not made bail. His next court appearance is scheduled for Dec. 12.
