“Mr. Grimes was a guest speaker on Internet safety in previous years and the response was so positive, we invited him back,” said Patrick Swift, Port Chester Middle School principal. “As a parent myself, I know that this is a critically important topic. Our children are doing much more online than most of us are aware.”
Mr. Grimes, a 20 year veteran of the New York City Police Department, has been speaking on Internet Awareness for many years, first as a volunteer at his local and neighboring school districts and then, after retirement, as part of a law enforcement public speakers bureau. He now leads seminars on Internet safety at school districts in New York, Connecticut and New Jersey. He has participated in previous events at Port Chester Middle School and at Port Chester Family U.
