Port Chester Woman Arrested on DWI Charge After Almost Hitting State Police Car

The incident occurred in Greenburgh.

A 28-year-old Port Chester woman was arrested by state police in Greenburgh Oct. 4 after she nearly struck a police car and was involved in a separate hit-and-run accident.

Jaclyn C. Veneziano was stopped for speeding and making an unsafe lane change just after 9 p.m. on the 4th. According to state police, Veneziano was seen traveling 90 miles per hour in a 65 mph zone, and she almost struck a police car in the process. The exact location of the incident was not disclosed.

Troopers said Veneziano was “found to be intoxicated,” and during the investigation they discovered that she also had been involved in an undisclosed hit-and-run accident before being pulled over. No injuries were reported.

Veneziano was transported and processed at the state police facility in Tarrytown where her blood alcohol content was determined to be 0.13 percent.

Veneziano was turned over to a sober third party and released on appearance tickets returnable to the Town of Greenburgh Court on Oct. 29 at 9:30 a.m.
