Port Chester Woman More Than 2 Times Legal Limit for Alcohol: Police

She was arrested after a two-vehicle accident in White Plains on I-287.

PORT CHESTER, NY — A Port Chester woman faces drunk driving charges for being more than two times the legal limit for alcohol, police said.

State Police were called to the scene of a two-car accident around 9:45 p.m. September 11 on I-287 near Exit 6 in White Plains.

The investigation found that a Mazda CX7 rear ended a Jeep Cherokee.

Mayra P. Tepan, 28, of Port Chester, was the driver of the Mazda and police said she was intoxicated.

She was taken to the Tarrytown barracks where her blood alcohol was determined to be 0.23 percent.

Tepan was charged with misdemeanor aggravated driving while intoxicated.

She was released to a sober third party and issued an appearance ticket to return to the City of White Plains Court September 27.
