State Police: Two Port Chester Men Arrested on Narcotics Charges

Francisco A. Ramos, 31, who was driving, and Jonathan Castillo, 30, were pulled over at about 10:35 p.m. on Saturday.

Two Port Chester men were arrested in Mamaroneck Saturday night on narcotics charges, according to state police.

Francisco A. Ramos, 31, who was driving, and Jonathan Castillo, 30, were pulled over at about 10:35 p.m. for alleged multiple undisclosed vehicle equipment violations.

During the subsequent investigation, police said Castillo was found to be in possession of approximately 13 grams of cocaine, and Ramos was found to be in possession of plastic bag with cocaine residue.

Below is the state police notice about the arrests:

On Saturday, January 31, 2015 at approximately 10:35 p.m. State Police stopped a vehicle driven by Francisco A. Ramos, 31, of Port Chester, NY for multiple equipment violations. The Trooper’s investigation revealed that Ramos was in possession of a clear plastic bag containing cocaine residue and his passenger, Jonathan Castillo, 30, of Port Chester was in possession of approximately 13 grams of cocaine. Both subjects were taken into custody and transported to SP New Rochelle for processing. Ramos was cited for traffic violations and charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance 7th degree (A misdemeanor) and a probation violation. He was released on an appearance ticket and is due in Mamaroneck Court on February 12, 2015 at 9:30 a.m. Castillo was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance 4th degree (C felony) and criminal possession of a controlled substance 3rd degree - intent to sell (B felony). He was arraigned in Mamaroneck Court.
