1 Charged After Man Shot Outside Coram Apartment: Police

A 38-year-old man was taken to a local hospital for treatment of serious but non-life-threatening injuries, Suffolk police say.

CORAM, NY — An 18-year-old man has been charged in connection with shooting and seriously wounding another
man in Coram on Sunday night, Suffolk police said.

At around 8:40 p.m., Dominick Tullon, who was part of a group of men involved in an argument in front of an apartment building on Country Club Drive, drew a handgun and fired four shots that struck one of them, according to police.

The man, 38, was taken to a local hospital for treatment of serious but non-life-threatening injuries, police said.

Patrol officers from the 6th Precinct in Selden canvassed the area, found Tullon, and placed him in custody just after 9 p.m., according to police.

Detectives charged Tullon, of Coram, with first-degree assault and reckless endangerment, and second-degree criminal possession of a weapon.

Tullon is being held overnight at the 6th Precinct and is scheduled to be arraigned at First District Court in Central Islip on Monday.
