5 Reasons to see “The Fantasticks” at Theatre Three
Live Theater is back on the historic Theatre Three stage with the production of "The Fantasticks !"

A totally appreciative audience applauded wildly at the conclusion of “ The Fantasticks,” at Theatre Three after its first Saturday night performance. Directed by Jeffrey Sanzel, “The Fantasticks” is a show very dear to the purest of theater “Aficionado’s.” As a review I am presenting 5 reasons to see this show .
First this show with Book and Lyrics by Tom Jones and Music by Harvey Schmidt was the longest running show in America because it is wholesome, timeless, family entertainment. Jeffrey Sanzel, who is the long time Executive Artistic Director of Theatre Three, wisely chose this show to bring live theater back on stage in Port Jefferson. Doing “The Fantasticks” is perhaps symbolic of starting up again by going back to the nuts and bolts of simple great musical theater.
Reason number 2 has to be the opportunity to see Meg Bush as Luisa. She enchants the stage with her talent. Her performance alone is worth the price of the ticket. You must watch her live in person. Once you see her on stage, you will forever remember her.

Reason 3 has to be the cohesiveness of the whole cast. With veteran Theatre Three regulars throwing their heart and souls into bringing life back into the building they have heard thunderous applause in through the years, Steve McCoy, Jeffrey Hoffman, Matthew Joseph Hoffman, along with Kyle Imperatore, Steven Uihlein and Jeffrey Sanzel himself land this show in the sweet spot of great live musical theater.
Reason number 4 is Michelle LaBozzetta whose performance as The Mute is brilliant. I believe she has a special stage presence that lifted the show with her poignant movement, amazing grace, and quite frankly pure talent.
