72-Year-Old Woman Crashes Into Port Jefferson Bank: Police

PORT JEFFERSON, NY - A 72-year-old Shoreham woman crashed into a Chase bank in Port Jefferson on Thursday afternoon, according to Suffolk Police.
The woman was driving a 2012 Honda on North Country Road when she said her brakes failed as she was attempting to make a turn.
The car struck the building at 75 North Country Road at about 12:47 p.m.

The woman was treated at Mather Hospital in Port Jefferson for minor injuries.
No one else was injured.
