The man's DNA and evidence were recovered from the teenage victim's underwear. A jury found him guilty after an hour of deliberations.

RIVERHEAD, NY – A jury in Riverhead took about an hour to find a 77-year-old man guilty of raping a teenage girl over a two-year period.
Felix Mora, of Coram, was convicted of rape, criminal sexual act, sexual abuse and endangering the welfare of a child charges, Suffolk County District Attorney Thomas Spota said.
Mora sexually abused and raped the girl from the summer of 2014 until last September when a police investigation began after the victim told a friend about her encounters with Mora, who was arrested on Sept. 27, 2016.

“Mora manipulated this young woman and used intimidation to control her during the years of abuse she endured,” Spota said. “The forensic analysis by the Suffolk County Crime Lab established a match between Mora’s DNA and evidence recovered from the victim’s underwear.”
Mora’s trial began June 13. Judge Barbara Kahn ordered Mora remanded to the county jail to await his sentencing on July 28.
