Ex-Boyfriend Pulled LI Woman From Car, Stabbed Her: Report
He was charged with second-degree murder for the death of Meghan Kiefer, Suffolk police said.
UPDATE: Suffolk prosecutors told a judge that the ex-boyfriend of a Long Island woman dragged her from her car and stabbed her multiple times after she returned home with a friend on Saturday, News 4 reported.
Thirty-three-year-old Kason Parker was taken into custody late Sunday for killing Meghan Kiefer, and at his arraignment on Monday, prosecutors said he has convictions for strangulation and second-degree assault in Albany, the outlet reported. Prosecutors said Parker, who served two-to-four years in 2007 for the crimes, was also involved in an attempted assault in Brooklyn in 2010, according to News 4.
Bail was not granted, News 4 reported.

CORAM, NY — An Albany man has been charged with second-degree murder for fatally stabbing his girlfriend on Long Island on Saturday, Suffolk police said.
Homicide Squad detectives arrested Kason Parker,33, on Sunday and he will be arraigned Monday at First District Court in Central Islip, police said.

Meghan Kiefer, 27, was found with stab wounds outside of her Coram home on Saturday afternoon, police said.
A 911 caller reported that there was an “injured woman” at a home on Harford Drive at about 4:45 p.m., and when officers arrived at the scene, they found her with stab wounds on the front lawn, police said.
Kiefer was transported to Stony Brook University Hospital where she was pronounced dead, according to police.
Police did not release any further details about Kiefer’s stabbing.
She was remembered on Sunday by colleagues as a loving, caring, and valuable person on the team at JDC’s Tailgaters Sports Bar in Holbrook, according to a Facebook post.
"We are sad-hearted to say Meghan Kiefer passed away," the post read. "She will always be loved, and a part of our hearts, and be one of the team."
Once the bar's management learns her funeral arrangements, they will share them, according to the post.
It went on to thank patrons for their support "in this time of need on behalf of the Tailgaters family."
"Rest easy, beautiful girl," the post concluded.
Kiefer went to Sachem High School North, according to her Facebook page.
