PORT JEFFERSON STATION, NY — A bartender and three bouncers at a Port Jefferson Station bar were cited for violations during a State Liquor Authority inspection late Thursday night, Suffolk police said.
In response to community complaints and multiple disturbances, including a recent assault arrest, Sixth Precinct Crime Section officers, in conjunction with the SLA and Town of Brookhaven officials, conducted an inspection at Infinite Lounge on Main Street just before midnight, according to police.
During the inspection, numerous violations were seen, and the bartender, a 31-year-old from Centereach, was issued a Field Appearance Ticket for first-degree unlawful dealing with a child, police said.
Three bouncers, a 30-year-old and a 27-year-old, both from Deer Park, and another 27-year-old from Ridge, were all issued Field Appearance Tickets for working as unlicensed security guards, according to police.
The state's Liquor Authority cited several violations and issued multiple summonses, police said.
Town of Brookhaven officials discovered hazardous violations and issued an immediate cease-and-desist order until the work order is completed and inspected, according to police.
