Arrest In Port Jefferson Station Stabbing: Suffolk Police
A Port Jefferson Station man stabbed an acquaintance on Jan. 11 and the person was taken to a local hospital,cops say.
PORT JEFFERSON STATION, NY — A 27-year-old man has been charged in a stabbing from earlier this month in Port Jefferson Station, Suffolk police said.
Derek Johnson, of Port Jefferson Station, was involved in an altercation with an acquaitance on Jan. 11 and stabbed the person, said police, adding that the victim was taken to a local hospital for treatment of their injuries.
A 50-year-old homeless man, who lives behind the building, was identified to News 12 as the victim, according to a previous report by the outlet.

Johnson was charged with assault with the intent to cause physical injury with a weapon, a felony, on Thursday. He is due back in court on Wednesday, according to online court records.
