Ashtray Contents Dumped In Garbage Pail Sparks Early Morning Fire In Port Jefferson Station: Police
It broke out at around 1:15 a.m. on Sunday, Suffolk police say.
PORT JEFFERSON STATION, NY — A fire broke out in a Port Jefferson Station home, drawing area firefighters early Sunday morning, Suffolk police said.
The fire broke out in the basement of a Graymore Road at around 1:16 a.m., after an ashtray was emptied into a garbage pail, according to police.
The fire was doused by the Terryville Fire Department, police said.
