Boyle Road Elementary School Donates 150 Boxes of Cereal

Students celebrate National Cereal Day by sending donations to AGAPE food pantry in Mastic Beach

Students at Boyle Road Elementary School in the Comsewogue School District recently honored National Cereal Day by collecting 150 boxes of cereal to donate to the Mastic Beach-based food pantry AGAPE.

“Each of our students did an amazing job contributing to our food drive for National Cereal Day,” said Boyle Road Elementary School Principal Dr. Nicole Sooknanan. “It’s great to see how excited our students are to give back to their community.”

Boyle Road Elementary School ELL teacher Brooke Leo organized the drive and helped students line the hallways with cereal boxes to visualize how much they collected and how far their donations will go. AGAPE provides groceries and pre-made meals to Comsewogue students in need on a weekly basis.
