Brookhaven's Town's Freezin' For A Reason Polar Plunge At Cedar Beach Is Set For Saturday
Registration for the event is still open.
MT. SINAI, NY — Brookhaven Town's Freezin' for a Reason 2022 Special Olympics of New York Polar Plunge at Cedar Beach in Mount Sinai is set for Saturday.
On-site registration will take place from 9:30 to 11 a.m. with plunging starting at noon.
The money donated goes to pay for the training of the athletes, equipment, attire, health supplies, and more.

All registered plungers are invited to attend the Pre-Plunge Party on Friday from 4 to 6 p.m. at Recipe Seven Cocktails and Kitchen, 275 Rte. 25A, Miller Place. This event includes a pre-check-in where plungers can sign a waiver, receive a polar plunge wristband, and an official sweatshirt.
There will also be photos with the famous Polar Plunge Polar Bear.
