Spooky Season Comes to Port Jefferson:

Witches Day Out Takes Over the Village on October 11

Port Jefferson, NY – A little magic is headed to Main Street this fall. On Saturday, October 11 (rain date: Sunday, October 12), downtown Port Jefferson will transform into a spirited celebration of all things spooky, sparkly, and small-business driven with the inaugural Witches Day Out.

Equal parts Halloween festival, themed shopping crawl, and community block party, Witches Day Out invites locals and visitors alike to don their witchiest attire and enjoy a day filled with enchanting activities, themed treats, and shop-to-win raffles - all in support of Port Jeff’s vibrant business district.

The village-wide event runs from 12pm to dusk, with a lineup of activations for all ages including:

● Tarot, psychic, and tea leaf readings

● Kids, family, and teen events hosted at the Port Jefferson Free Library

● Face painting and glitter hair extensions

● DIY spooky crafts like spell jars, terrariums, and candle making

● Reiki, meditation, and energy clearing sessions

● Witchy-themed cocktails, mocktails, and seasonal treats from local bars and restaurants

● In-store promos, pop-ups, and themed displays throughout the village

● Haunted pirate tiki boat cruises throughout the day

● A costume contest, haunted storytime, and an outdoor movie screening

● Plus a village-wide raffle - one ticket for every $20 spent

● + More events to be announced

And when the sun sets...

Witches Night Out begins.

At happy hour, the event shifts into a guided haunted bar crawl led through the village by a costumed tour guide - taking inspiration from the iconic walking tours of Salem, MA. Guests will sip spirited cocktails and hear haunted tales as they travel bar to bar, soaking up the local lore and festive atmosphere.
