Comsewogue High School Honors its Top Ten Percent

District Recognizes Academic Excellence and Achievements of its Graduating Class

The Comsewogue School District recently celebrated the academic excellence and achievements of the Comsewogue High School 2024 graduating class during its “Top Ten Percent Breakfast.” All students recognized graduated with a weighted grade-point average of at least 100 percent.

“Every student who earned a spot in our top ten percent this year did so through hard work, dedication, and commitment to their studies,” said Superintendent of Schools Dr. Jennifer Quinn. “We are so proud of their exceptional group and talent, and we know they will go on to achieve greatness beyond graduation.”

Comsewogue High School’s top ten percent of 2024 students are Jackeline Antelo, Brayden Arias, Elpida Botonakis, Griffin Braun, Kyle Buck, Riley Candreva, Michael Canudas, Samantha Cardarelli, Macy Carter, Sofia Castro, Madison Cole, Kyle Danowski, Jamie Deegan, Julie Dorgan, Hannah Ellis, Courtney Harrington, Kayla Haufler, Jordyn Hesselbarth, Conor Johanson, Alexander Kosak, Mackenzie Lederer, Abigail Nam, Edan Paggy, Michael Perrone, Kyleigh Pilkington, Agustina Salguero, Charlize Sandie, Jake Sparhuber, Mia Tsaktsirlis, Madison Villani and Kaeden West.

At the breakfast, Principal Michael Mosca additionally presented county and state awards to several seniors who were recognized for displaying dedication, growth or leadership throughout their high school career.

Senior Jake Sparhuber earned the Office of the State Comptroller’s Student Achievement Award, Kyle Danowski and Madison Maida both earned the Office of the New York State Attorney General’s Triple “C” Award, Brandon Bermingham and Sarah Seale both earned the National School Development Council’s Award for Academic Growth and Student Leadership in Learning, and Agustina Salguero

Earned the Suffolk County Executive/Edward P. Romaine’s Certificate of Achievement/Public Service Award.
