Comsewogue High School hosted their very own “Comsewogue Idol,” on Friday night. It was an amazing show, packed with a ton of talent—making for a close competition.
The show began with twelve qualified competitors; all in which were ready to win. In the first round, the four judges had their backs turned to the contestants-- allowing the cheering from the audience to be the only distraction. The four judges included, Mr. Mosca, the school’s assistant principal, Mrs. Merone, an English teacher, Mrs. Weltsek, a social studies teacher, and last but not least, Mrs. Verdisco, a photography teacher.
At the end of round one, during intermission, there was a special surprise for the audience. Teachers and staff, as well as a few audience members participated in What Would You Do? This was a trivia game that left its losers with a face full of pie.

As intermission concluded, it was time for round two, leaving only six contestants to advance in the competition.
The song choices ranged from country to rock. In the end it was a close call, but the judges came to a verdict. Although each contestant was truly a winner, the competition had left third place to senior Lucas Robinson, second place to senior Caroline Garboski, and first place to senior Taylor Cooke.

This competition displayed the talent behind this high school's doors, and I'm sure the next event will be much anticipated.
