Comsewogue National Science Honor Society Hosts Science Nights

The Comsewogue High School National Science Honor Society recently shared the joy and fascination of science with elementary school students in the Comsewogue School District during two nights of interactive activities and experiments.

“Our National Honor Society students did such an amazing job educating and inspiring our younger students,” said Superintendent of Schools Dr. Jennifer Quinn. “Both nights were full of excitement and joy as our students and their families came together to learn and enjoy science.”

Students at Clinton Avenue Elementary School and Terryville Elementary School joined together for one night, while students at Norwood Elementary School and Boyle Road Elementary School joined for another night of science activities.

National Science Honor Society Advisor Shane Goldberg worked with teachers Jennifer Coffman and Jake McGregor to advise the students and help facilitate the two exciting science nights.

Students and their families participated in activities that brought physics, sound, chemistry and electricity to life and helped students see how science affects them every day and is connected to the world around them.

The Honor Society students created the activities, taught the scientific applications, and interacted with students to engage and inspire them in the night’s activities.
