Coram Man Arrested For Stabbing Brother In Home: Suffolk PD

The victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment of "serious injuries," police said.

CORAM, NY — A Coram man was arrested for stabbing his brother with a large knife on Friday night, Suffolk County police said.

Police said they responded to a home on Sequoia Lane at about 8 p.m., “after a 911 caller reported he was stabbed by his brother.” After the stabbing, police said, “the house was set on fire.”

The stabbing victim, whose name has not been released, was transported to a local hospital for treatment of “serious injuries,” police said.

Sixth Squad detectives have charged Victor Brown, 29, of Coram with first-degree assault, as well as second-degree criminal contempt and menacing, and resisting arrest, according to police.

Brown was also transported to a local hospital, police said.
