Coram Woman Charged With Endangerment After Restraining An Autistic Man: Police
It happened while a school bus was en route, Suffolk police say.
CORAM, NY — A 60-year-old Coram woman was arrested after restraining an autistic man by holding him down inside of a school bus on March 19, Suffolk police said.
It happened at around 11:40 a.m. on Jan. 20 while the bus was en route to a location, according to police.
Police declined to release the location.

The woman was charged with endangering the welfare of a disabled and/or incapacitated person, a misdemeanor, police said.

The woman is due in court on April 8, online court records show.
She does not have a defense attorney on file, according to the records.
