Carters are charged a Port Jefferson Village fee to collect garbage within the footprint of the Village. All our resident rates have gone up drastically with any of the carting companies due to local and land fill fees within the Town of Brookhaven. The residents of the Town of Brookhaven pay a flat fee of $350. per year in there tax bill. We should opt to have Brookhaven town as the carter for our Village, it only makes sense.
