Earl L. Vandermeulen High School Partners with the Society of Mayflower Descendants to Award Student Scholarships

Earl L. Vandermeulen High School is proud to announce a new partnership with the Society of Mayflower Descendants in the State of New York. Through this meaningful collaboration, the organization generously provided two scholarships to current Grade 11 students in recognition of their academic achievement and commitment to the study of history.

This marks the first time Earl L. Vandermeulen High School has partnered with the Society of Mayflower Descendants in the State of New York, making the occasion especially significant as the nation prepares to commemorate the upcoming 250th anniversary of the United States.

The school was honored to welcome Alexis B. Morledge, Executive Director of the Society of Mayflower Descendants in the State of New York, along with Evan Tousey, to formally present the scholarships to students Sean Grossman and Nick Rodriguez. Also present for the scholarship presentation was U.S. History teacher Mr. Rosen, whose dedication to civic education and American history continues to inspire students in the classroom.
