The Port Jefferson Village administration is against the Port Jefferson School Districts Superintendent and Boards' desire to upgrade, fix and maintain the safety and welfare of the School District Buildings and grounds and students with a $30 million Bond, until they think it is the right time. The Mayor and Board of Trustees spent millions of taxpayers' present and future dollars without a second thought of the elephant in the room, the Power Plant. If the Village board members are so astute in the bond issues, as the Mayor suggests why have the taxpayers been paying thousands and thousands of dollars for consultants, engineeres, attorneys and a myriad of professionals for projects in the Village. Let the School Board and Superintendent run the schools and the Village administration back off. If the Trustees are so intent with leading the School Board and Superintendent they may run for School Board member when it is time.
