Sailing teams from John T. Mather Memorial Hospital and the Village of Port Jefferson will renew their friendly rivalry in the second annual Village Cup Regatta to benefit pancreatic cancer treatment and research.
The Regatta is presented by the Setauket Yacht Club in collaboration with the Village of Port Jefferson and the Port Jefferson Conservancy and takes place on Long Island Sound off Port Jefferson. Last year’s inaugural Regatta raised more than $35,000, with the funds divided equally between Palliative Care at Mather Hospital and the Lustgarten Foundation, a private foundation that funds pancreatic cancer research. The first Regatta cup went to the Village of Port Jefferson.
