Fire Breaks Out At Mount Sinai Home Sunday
The fire was contained to one room and no one was injured, fire officials said.
MOUNT SINAI, NY — Area firefighters were called to a fire that broke out at a Mount Sinai home on Sunday afternoon, fire department officials said.
The fire broke out at a home on West Cliff Drive at about 3:40 p.m., and arson detectives were called to the scene, according to Suffolk police.
The fire was contained to one to room and was extinguished with no injuries reported, the Mount Sinai Fire Department said on its Facebook page Sunday night. Altogther, the department was assisted by three other agencies, including the Miller Place and Sound Beach fire departments, as well as Port Jefferson Emergency Medical Services, the post read.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation, but it is believed to be "non-criminal in nature," a police spokeswoman said.
