Firefighters Battle 2-Story House Fire In Mount Sinai

The fire was advancing when fire fighters arrived, but it was extinguished quickly, officials said.

MOUNT SINAI, NY — Mount Sinai firefighters battled a blaze at a two-story home early Saturday afternoon.

The fire broke out on Jessica Lane just after 1 p.m., and fire department officials said it began to advance fast, but it it was extinguished quickly. There were no reported injuries on the scene, according to a post on the Mount Sinai Fire Department's Facebook page.

Altogether, seven agencies responded, including the Miller Place, Terryville, Coram, Sound Beach, and Rocky Point fire departments, as well as Port Jefferson EMS.
