Fishing Port Jefferson 2017

FISHING PORT JEFFERSON is great fishing, period. Porgies, Fluke and Striped Bass are running and can be found easily. Find a rocky ledge in 20-45 ft of water , use clam chum and you will have Porgies. Drift spearing over hard sandy shoals in 15-30ft of water and you will find Fluke. Drift and use Diamond jigs over prominent points and drop offs in 50-60ft and you will find bass, however you might have to look around to find the right spot, but they are out there.
