Big bass can be taken at night around PORT JEFF. This is a preferred feeding time for the big cow bass. Boat traffic can push striped bass away, so night time is a great way to get boats out of the equation. Fish finder rigs fished around drop offs, rocky areas, jetties, inlets, and beaches where there is a bump out or indentation of the the topography. These bump outs or indentations indicate a change in the underwater topography as well, leading to a change in current there or possibly a hide out or ambush area for the bass.
