FISHING PORT JEFFERSON and LONG ISLAND SOUND this end of July and beginning of August has been very good. Lots of PORGIES and SEABASS from 30ft -70ft. Standard high/low rigs with clam will do. Find drop offs, hard bottoms and wrecks/structure. Drift if wind/tide allows or anchor and chum to bring them to you.
Blues/Striped Bass will take live or cut bunker around similar structures as above.
