Someone in the Port Jefferson Village Administration must have a crystal ball in my opinion. Please correct me if you can prove me wrong with the following scenario regarding the dates associated with the Villages' purchase of 303 Barnum Ave.
A $525,000. 10 year Bond was approved by the administration on May 16 2016 to purchase 303 Barnum Ave.
On February 16, 2017 bids were written for demolition and asbestos removal.

So far the property had not been purchased and a contract had not been signed.

How did the Bond get accepted, the bids go out and the Village did not even know if the owner would sell until the deal was closed?
This leaves a big question, who has the crystal ball?
