Before the Brookhaven Industrial Developement Agency approves any more tax giveways. such as the Cappys highrise and the one just north of the tracks. Our 3 lawyers, Garant, LaPointe and Egan, should let the IDA know that the Village residents do not want to pay any more for the apartment complex services and school tax for the children enrolled in our schools who live in the apartments. The administration let the others slide with no fight. They have no reason that is acceptable to the taxpayers to let these go by, unless there is a reason nobody is disclosing. Do your jobs and protect the residents. The Port Jefferson school district, Board and taxpayers might consider letting the IDA know their concerns as well at, Town of Brookhaven IDA.
