Local Teacher Running in NYC Marathon
Port Jeff Station resident and teacher at Norwood Elementary School will run in Sunday's big marathon in New York City.
When tens of thousands of hopeful marathoners make the 26.2-mile trek that winds throughout all five boroughs of New York City on Sunday morning, Port Jefferson Station resident Wendy Frazier will be among them.
The teacher and mother of four left for the city at about 11:30 a.m. on Saturday and like many she's running in the NYC Marathon to raise money for a special charity. Her choice is the Nassau Suffolk Autism Society of America.
Patch wishes her good luck and we will catch up with her afterwards to see how she did.
