Long Island Health And Racquet In Coram Closes After 34 Years

CORAM, NY — Long Island Health and Racquet in Coram closed its doors after 34 years on Aug. 31.

The gym's management made the announcement in a sign on the window, along with directions about memberships.

"After 34 years, we would like to share that our club will be closing permanently on Monday, Aug. 31, at 9 p.m.," the sign states.

"We are incredibly grateful to all of our members, employees, and friends, who have been part of our journey over the years," it continued. "Your loyalty, support, and patronage have meant so much to us, and we sincerely thank you for being a part of our club's history."

"It has been our pleasure to serve this community, and we will always cherish the memories, and relationships built along the way," the sign stated.

The gym's management also stated that all credit card information would be removed from its database, and that its affiliate gym in Setauket would be offering Coram members memberships for $19.99.

Members can also inquire about purchasing equipment.
