Long Island Teen Stabs His Mother To Death: Police
BREAKING: The 18-year-old is in the hospital after he fell out of a window while attempting to flee, police say. He's charged with murder.

CORAM, NY – A Suffolk County teen stabbed his mother to death Wednesday morning, police said.
According to Suffolk Police, 18-year-old Jacob Beechem stabbed 47-year-old Donette Beechem during an "altercation" inside their home located at 37 Steven Place in Coram around 7:15 a.m.
Police said Jacob Beechem was injured when he fell out of a window while attempting to flee the residence, which is located inside The Preserve apartment complex off Route 112. A neighbor called 911.

Donette Beechem was pronounced dead at the scene by a member of the Suffolk County Medical Examiner's Office. Her son was admitted to Stony Brook University Hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.
Jacob Beechem was charged with second degree murder and will be arraigned at a later date.
