Man, 70, Charged With Public Lewdness At Suffolk Park: Police

A concerned citizen called police after witnessing the man commit a "lewd act" in front of parkgoers Thursday morning, police say.

PORT JEFFERSON, NY — A man was arrested after being accused of committing a lewd act in front of people at a park in Port Jefferson on Thursday morning, Suffolk police said.

Frank Cappuccio, 70, of Port Jefferson, was seen by a concerned citizen committing a lewd act at Harborfront Park, at 101 East Broadway, around 10:15 a.m., police said. The citizen called 911.

Cappuccio was arrested and charged with public lewdness. He was issued a desk appearance ticket and is scheduled to be arraigned at First District Court in Central Islip on June 24.
