Queens Man Dies After Being Struck By 2 Cars On Long Island Road
He was pronounced dead at the scene by a physician assistant from the Suffolk County Medical Examiner's Office.
PORT JEFFERSON STATION, NY — A 63-year-old Queens man died after he was struck by two cars while crossing a Long Island street on Thursday night, Suffolk police said.
Gerard Hamill was attempting to cross Nesconset Highway in Port Jefferson Station when he was struck by a 2019 Honda, which was driven by Kevin Henry, at about 7:39 p.m., police said, adding that a 2013 Volkswagen, which was driven by Jessica Blydenburgh, then struck him. Hamill was pronounced dead at the scene by a physician assistant from the Office of the Suffolk County Medical Examiner, police said.
Henry, 30, of Port Jefferson Station, and Blydenburgh, 42, of Miller Place were not injured in the crash, according to police.

Both of their vehicles were impounded for a safety check, police said.
