Suffolk Man Dies In Single-Car Crash: Cops
The vehicle veered off Canal Road at about 1:25 a.m., police said.
MOUNT SINAI, NY — A 33-year-old man died when the pickup truck he was driving veered off the roadway in Mount Sinai early Friday morning, Suffolk police said.
Joseph Berendowski Jr., of Mount Sinai, was driving a 2007 Mazda pickup truck westbound on Canal Road when it went off the roadway at Griffin Drive and crashed at 1:25 a.m., according to police.
Berendowski was taken to Stony Brook University Hospital where he was pronounced dead, police said.
