A man rescued from a sinking vehicle in Port Jefferson waters suffered serious injuries from the Thursday evening incident, police say.
According to authorities, the man's SUV went off a Port Jefferson Marina boat ramp, located off West Broadway, and went into the water at 5:30 p.m.
The vehicle was found submerged by Good Samaritans who jumped into the water to rescue the man.

Members from the Suffolk County Marine Bureau Dive team went into the water to search for possible additional victims, police say.
Police are investigating the incident.
