Man Taken To Stony Brook After Port Jefferson Station Assault: PD
The man was shoved, then fell into an open car door on South Columbia Street on Friday, Suffolk police said.
PORT JEFFERSON STATION, NY — A man was transported to Stony Brook University Hospital after he was assaulted in Port Jefferson Station on Friday afternoon, Suffolk police said.
The man had been on South Columbia Street when he was shoved and fell into an open car door at about 2 p.m., according to police. He was transported to the hospital by a Terryville Fire Department ambulance for treatment of "non-life-threatening injuries," police said.
The incident is under investigation, a police spokeswoman said.
