Suffolk Man Struck By 2 Cars; Seriously Injured: Police
He was taken to Stony Brook University Hospital for treatment, police said.
CORAM, NY — A 28-year-old man was struck by two vehicles in a chain reaction crash Sunday afternoon in Coram that left him seriously injured, Suffolk police said.
The man was standing in the eastbound lane of Middle Country Road, near Country Club Drive, when he was struck by a 2004 Toyota Camry around 5:30 p.m., according to police.
The driver of a 2007 Toyota Camry that was driving behind the first Camry tried to swerve out of the way, but also struck the man a second time, police said.

The man was taken by Coram Fire Department Ambulance to Stony Brook University Hospital for treatment of serious injuries, according to police.
Neither of the drivers involved, a 64-year-old man from Coram, and a 24-year-old woman from Wading River, were injured, police said.

Both Toyotas were impounded for safety checks, according to police.
